'Yeti' Footprints Sighted Claims Indian Army Tweet -- And Social Media Reacts - CNN

A recent tweet by an official from the Indian Army is causing a stir, and not only on social media. The tweet claims that evidence of the Yeti has been discovered by an expedition team, referring to photographs of footprints in the snow that are too big for a human foot to have made (assuming a human with misshapen feet was running around barefoot in the Himalayan mountains). Cue the scientific recriminations, because everyone knows real evidence is denied by authorities and followed by veiled threats from individuals in dark suits. So we have Science and the Search for Sasquatch: Calling All Scientists! It's not news that any scientists aligning themselves with Team Sasquatch face career barriers and ridicule from their peers, a fact that makes identifying the Hairy Man an even bigger challenge. Micah Hanks is therefore stepping up to the plate and inviting any scientist with a secret but serious interest in Bigfoot research to contact him by email. His hope is that the real research can begin, outside of large labs and research grants and tenure.  (CM)
