Tic-Tac-Shaped Object Reported Over Australia - MUFON

Three cases demonstrating the international reach of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). The 2004 Nimitz/UFO encounters have perhaps produced another UFO form description, and maybe Roger Marsh's witness source for this case should get some of the credit for adding "tic-tac-shape" to the lexicon. It will be interesting to see whether this characterization "sticks." Of the case itself, some of the witness's assumptions about a balloon's apparent shape and behavior might be challenged. Anomalous appearances in bad weather have contributed many UFO claims, as in Silent UFO Reported Over Czech Republic. It's interesting that this case was closed "as Information Only," and one wonders what prompted the Field Investigator to make that thoughtful choice. A German Witness Photographs Hovering Disc UFO and produces a "fuzzy result" looking almost like a Tic-Tac in this instance. The case--as was the first, Australian one--was chalked up to the >Unknown Aerial Vehicle" class. (WM)
