Recently the
Daily Telegraph received a letter from an RAF training instructor who saw something whilst flying over Loch Ness. He described noticing a small black object leaving behind a long bow wave, which could be indicative of a larger mass under the Loch's surface. And while we wait and hope for more details, Karl Shuker describes
Gambo, The Gambian Sea Serpent - Or, How A Very Mysterious Stranger On The Shore Launched My Cryptozoological Career. Every cryptid loving weirdo has to start somewhere in their youth, and Dr. Shuker's spark came from a Gambian sea serpent. In 1986 Shuker wrote his very first cryptozoological article, focusing on a strangely well preserved carcass of a creature that had washed up on a beach in Gambia. The rest is (strange) history because he hasn't stopped writing since that time. (CM)
