Have You Seen The Moth Man? Student’s Posters Urge Chicagoans To Call In Monster Sightings — And Her Phone Is Blowin...

Now this is what we like to see: Initiative. A student from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago has, as part of a school project, created posters urging citizens to call her "hotline" if they've seen anything unusual (of the non-human variety). The response to her urgings has been overwhelming. Give that young lady an A+. The Singular Fortean Society recently heard from an individual describing Reports from the Void: 'I Have Seen the Winged Creature', near Detroit back in January of this year. For reasons unknown (but which aren't hard to guess given the general attitude towards topics such as this) the witness later refused to return phone calls so very few details are known. Still, people are often far too ready to fabricate their own details to provide a satisfying story. Another Death From Pope Lick Monster Hunting? The sister of the deceased teen vehemently says no, and points to youthful recklessness as the root cause of the tragedy. Evidently the Pope Lick Monster gets more readers than the truth, but we hope the general community lets it go and keeps the needs of the family uppermost in their mind. (CM)
