Another interesting Google Earth find! My research associate, James Carroll, found this one when studying the California desert for signs of the supposed beached ship.
Being curious by nature, I had to look it up and found out that someone(s) really were leaving a nice sign for the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115.
Did they put it out there (with great effort, as the letters are about 15-feet long and fairly wide), or did they hope to have the boys see it from the air as they flew over?
I don't know, but I find it pretty cool!
