Planting a Flag for Science - Herald Tribune

Billy Cox concludes a lyrical essay on past and present, saying "the weekend might've been the beginning of a way forward." The "weekend" referred to was March 15-17; the reason for Billy's optimism, against a background of old hatreds and more recent technology, was the "Scientific Conference on Anomalous Aerospace Phenomena." This by-invitation meeting of the Scientific Coalition for Ufology produced a number of presentations far above the level of ordinary UFO get-togethers, and Billy here focuses upon one talk whose topic possesses enormous potential benefits for the rigorous and sane study of AAOs, anomalous aerial objects: the Philippe Ailleris presentation on the implications of 24/7 global every-nook-and-cranny aerial surveillance. Billy signs off with "More later." (WM)
