Pascagoula to Medjugorje - The Enigma of the Shared Vision - Journal of a UFO Investigator

The always-thoughtful David Halperin reviews the 1973 abduction of Charles Hickson and Calvin Parker, using the same lens he used on two Marian visions. Whether the picture is any clearer is in this case up for interpretation. Michael Grosso also considers multiple-witness events in a Shared Near-Death Experience? Grosso enlarges the scope of Halperin's suggestion, not just in terms of NDE possibilities, but in the wider sense of telepathic communications. His final paragraph is both a call for more information and a somewhat disturbing prediction of "a new consciousness" created by dire circumstances. Grosso expands upon elements of his thinking by going beyond NDEs in A More Direct Approach to Afterlife Research, which appears in issue 37of the free pdf magazine, EdgeScience, published by the Society for Scientific Exploration. Coincidentally, in the same issue is The Reception of Scientific Ideas from Alleged Supernatural Beings and Extraterrestrials. Diana Walsh Pasulka, author of American Cosmic: UFOs, Religion, and Technology, here examines the notion of "downloads," whether they be from aliens, divinities, or perhaps a more mundane form of human preparation. Dream incubation, for instance, is more than just the saying "I'll sleep on it"; it's an age-old practice, and has even been recommended for problem-solving Quality Control and Improvement challenges.
