Canada's Wildman

The Traverspine Gorilla of Labrador is a lesser known cryptid. Interestingly, these northern areas have long-held legends of a giant race called the Toonijuk. It is said the race went into hiding. Sounds familiar to other native legends, eh? 

The small settlement of Traverspine reported a creature come to known as the Traverspine Gorilla.

The first report was from the 1930s when a girl was playing in a field and out emerged a 7-foot tall man-like being. It apparently hovered around the area for about two years, upsetting dogs, making sounds, until one resident saw it in her yard and shot.

The shooter said that it was not a bear. It was human-like. It ran through the woods as she shot at it.
