Mysterious Balls of Light Reported Near Recent Indiana Mothman Sightings - Mysterious Universe

Sequoyah Kennedy says a man has observed weird balls of light near Indiana's Prairie Creek Reservoir about a dozen times since 1981. This caught our attention, as a favorite similar sighting occurred in Rolling Prairie, Indiana, but more than 200 miles away and back in 1904. Kennedy also mentions a December 2018 Mothman sighting near the Prairie Creek reservoir. About the time of the alleged Mothman encounter, a man sifting through MUFON case files came upon a UFO Triangle over Kansas--July 29, 2018. Jim Kerr recognized the 2018 photo as a frame from his own 2013 video, and is calling "foul." He seems to make a good brief, although the MUFON Kansas State Director's conclusion of "Unknown Aerial Vehicle" could in some sense still apply to what Kerr saw in 2013, as Kerr thinks it was "some type of classified military project" he admits he considers "unidentified." A photo analyst might identify the subject of Megan Sutherland's Western Australia Police Baffled by Mysterious UFO in CCTV Footage. But the expert should focus on the Twitter video rather than the article's lead image, which for us showed the phenomenon for a split second before ultimately turning into an older report on the December 1978 Kaikoura, New Zealand, lights case. Since the remarkable image in the video rather "backs up" and to the side, we'd opt for an "optical artifact" rather than a more dramatic diagnosis. Argentina: Santa Cruz Labor Unionist Claims Seeing UFO gives us a less dramatic but perhaps more significant case, considering the witness' status and the length of time involved. (WM)
