It's not often that "the last word" in a field gets updated, but such is the case with Jerome Clark's
The UFO Encyclopedia, 3rd edition. Iconic Australian researcher Bill Chalker, himself responsible for past and new entries in the 1462 pages of the present edition, praises it mightily and in detail. He also bemoans the fact that more time would have allowed authors to insert more new material in the work, and notes that, for Australia, "Any reader, researcher, experiencer, witness & investigation would get a lot out of getting all 3 editions." Chalker also draws attention to what is new in the 3rd edition, which the Amazon.com summary says "includes over one hundred new entries and offers context for the reams of declassified UFO-related documents that have been released in the United States." Note also Chalker's reference to the glowing Bob Rickard review. (WM)
