The 1961 Betty (and Barney) Hill Saga - UFO Conjectures

Rich Reynolds has been re-reading the story Betty Hill has told about her and husband Barney's shared abduction experience. Rich has some qualms about the logical reality of certain details in the matter. Turning to another famous UFO abduction case, Calvin Parker: 2018 voices Rich's appreciation for the reality of an anomalous event, speculates on explanations alternative to alien agency, and seems to recommend Parker's recent book about the 1973 occurrence. Jose Antonio Caravaca sees commonalities in The Indefinite Origin of Anomalous Apparitions. Caravaca seems to elevate, or perhaps more carefully delineate and characterize, the witness component of a close encounter experience to the status of an "internal agent" interacting with his postulated "external agent" to shape what the witness "observes." And with The UFO Explanation is Right There in Front of You Rich appropriately re-emphasizes searching for the initial witness accounts of an event, unburdened by later interpretations of others (especially interested ufologists), reinterpretations by the percipient her/himself, and the vagaries of human memory.
