Spanish ufologist/journalist Jose Antonio Caravaca steps back a bit from what he considers an unfortunate concentration on UFOs when developing and explicating his "Distortion Theory" behind "Close Encounters" between humans and unknown entities. He also defines certain terms as applied to his general set of observations and postulates.
UFO Conjectures blogmeister Rich Reynolds also argues for spending less time "on things ufological," pointing out the wisdom in
The Anomalist's Chris Savia's interest in "the rich reality that is human existence and behavior."Next we have
Earth is a Contained Reality (and UFOs are an Infinitesimal Part of that Reality), which argues for respect, wonderment, and engagement in the incredibly rich story of human achievement. Yet
Fail Safe and UFOs reminds that a significant part of that human history is negative. But even here, too, a movie like "Fail Safe" can be made and valued; and as one perceptive Commenter notes "Should be seen by all of the 20 somethings who think that they know everything because they have a cell phone." Don't miss Rich's main point about the prevalence of "UFO mentions" in the film. (WM)
