Tim notes in particular that Li Jianmin bases his conclusion partly by comparing the thing to "alien skulls discovered in other countries." The find has not escaped the attention of Paul Seaburn, whose
UFO Hunter Unveils the "Skull of an Extraterrestrial" raises more "red flags" and waxes poetic. That last is likely because one proposed alternative identification for the remains was a "sea monk monster," a fabled beast memorialized in a French poem. That Seaburn does his homework!
