“Phantom Odors� Could Be Fairly Common, and May Point to Health Risks - Mysterious Universe

It seems inexplicable odors go beyond burnt toast and neurological disorders. New research suggests an array of health problems may be associated with phantom smells such as rotting meat and burning hair. However it doesn't take into account the very real phenomenon of odors associated with spiritual experiences, no physical ailment required.  Also mysterious but not rooted in pre-existing conditions, Mystery smell forces Frontier Airlines flight to make an emergency landing as eight passengers are taken ill. Kudos to the airline who has taken seriously all  requests by passengers who desire further medical observation. To date the cause of the malodorous anomaly is unknown but investigators are confident it will be uncovered in short order. (CM)
