I was a fairly big fan of his and would meditate on his songs for hours during my worst depression bouts. His super angry and sad songs are the best where the energy in his voice makes it feel like his spirit is talking directly to you. Most of the time his pure energy was exactly how I'm feeling and I could zone out while listening. I loved this young man as musician, a visionary, and an inspiration and his death has hit me like when Michael Jackson and 2Pac died and it hit their fans. I'm okay now a week later after his death (I bawled my eyes out the first 2 days). I've never heard ANY artist make songs like LookAtMe! or Jocelyn Flores etc. Those songs have pure raw emotion and feel extremely real that you can sense X's vibe through the track. I don't have an addictive personality but I feel like I let myself get to close to this artist and his music and now I not only feel grief but i feel guilt for feeling anything at all towards him since people are throwing labels like "satanist" and "devil worshiper" at him and saying they're glad he's dead. It's out there that he had a troubled past and he has a song called I Spoke To The Devil In Miami where he says he spoke to a baphomet that said he would give him what he desired but there was one thing he needed. And that thing is never specified. It also ends with what sound like a creepy prayer "Anima Vista". Idk what it means but it's said repeatedly until the song ends abruptly. I want to know what you guys think as many of my friends are X fans as well and are devastated by his murder. And his video of him saying he would "be murdered or be a sacrifice" is even more chilling. Was he just a young talented but troubled musician with imaginative lyrics or do you think if he continued living he was leading himself and his followers down a dark path?
