Spielberg, Close Encounters, and Conspiracy Theories - Mysterious Universe

Robbie Graham posts another typically interesting and information-filled article on UFO films, in this case the 1977 blockbuster Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Graham explores the conspiracy theories that have sprung up around that movie and its more likely role in fueling a Hollywood economic revival. Graham's view of the effects from that "adrenal shot" is nuanced and worth pondering. Miguel ("Red Pill Junkie") Romero actually touts two upcoming works in "Calling All Earthlings": New Documentary Explores the Story of UFO Contactee George Van Tassel. The title production is a movie about a major figure in a remarkable era in UFO history. "RPJ" harbors one understandable concern about a possible conspiracy theme in the movie, but Penn State historian Greg Eghigian's Smithsonian Air&Space review New Film Tells the Story of George Van Tassel and His UFO-Inspired "Integratron" seems positive. Romero also includes a trailer for Greg Bishop and Adam Gorightly's forthcoming book 'A' is for Adamski, in the spirit of disclosure mentioning his own role in crafting the cover of this "detailed chronicle of UFO contact personalities and cults."
