Sleep paralysis?

A couple nights ago my sister had sleep paralysis for the first time. Or at least something like that.

She told that when she was waking up she started to hear a scream. It was a high pitch scream that grew louder every second. It wasn’t like an scream in the mind where it’s volume doesn’t change rather she said it was like if someone was screaming, but it was coming from everywhere in the house. It hurt her ears and the scream only grew higher in pitch.

Simultaneously, she started to see faces flash around the room. There looked demonic to her, seeming twisted and awfully frightening. She was scared and as she moved her head she saw dark shadows that looked like people standing in the room.

She told me at that point she just closed her eyes and just hoped it would all be over soon. Eventually, she was able to move the rest of her body, but decided to listen to calm music and attempt to sleep again.

The weird part of it is that jokingly after she told me what had happened I said, “It probably started because I left the room for too long” (or something along those lines. I share the room with her, but I got my own room temporarily for three weeks in another bedroom of the house. Leaving her in the old one) she kinda just laughed nervously and dismissed what I said.

I would also wake up randomly sometimes and see weird demonic faces on the walls (they looked so realistic and detailed) in that room, but no one else had experienced it before now. So I don’t know was she just having a bad case of sleep paralysis or was it something else???
