This happened on Friday night, came back from work, exhausted, I ate, took a shower and went to bed at around 9 PM.
I decided to watch a movie, don't remember exactly which one. So I played the movie and, around 10 PM the sleep hit me so hard that I just tured to the other side and must have fallen asleep immediately.
Suddenly I wake up and feel this strong wind blowing in my face, so strong in fact that I had trouble taking a breath. It was forcing the air back down in my lungs. I couldn't move and I felt the way the bed sheets were slowly pulled off my body. I panicked so much, tried to move but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't even move my head. There were this strange sounds, voices, and I could almost see like a giant shadow engulfing the entire room.
Then suddenly, I realized I was actually still sleeping. In that moment, I just took a deep breath and... Boom, I woke up! The curtains were drifting in the wind slowly because the window was open and, luckily the bed sheets were still over my body.
Here's where the weird part is. I checked the time on my phone, it's 22:20 PM. I thought that sleep paralysis usually happens after REM sleep, before you wake up. But REM sleep starts about an hour or two after falling asleep.
This happens to me like 5-6 times in a year.
