Ok. there was this HUGE inner city park with a baseball field way in the back far away from the inner parking lot that snuggled up to a famous duck pond where us kids used to love to hang out and smoke pot near, usually after park hours.
One time i was with this girl, parked there, near the pond, it was a quiet night, not too cold, and im not sure if it was breezy or not. But we were making out (people gonna gender assume now lol) as usual when we both heard this WEIRD loud growl coming from the direction of the baseball field, it wasnt a dog, it was more from a horror film, it sounded real so it wasnt someones TV on a PA, and it didnt sound like a wolf, or coyote which are kinda often seen in that area due to how close to a largeish wooded area the park is near (about 5 or so miles at least).
We both heard it, looked at each other, and both decided to GTFO super quickly and never went back to hang out there at night again.
Weird that it only sounded one time, and recounting the story a few times after we had that sound stuck in our heads and know it wasnt a person trying to make a sound becasue it was too animal-ish to be a human, and the sounds ive heard coyotes make werent even close to that. Plus it was pretty loud, like im sure all the houses, had someone been outside or window open, would have heard it too. Im unsure how to track down any reports from that era if there was some exotic animal that was left out of the news, or If we really had a werewolf live with us in the city :D, or any other demonic dogs roaming that super large park at that time.
