Nick Redfern's new book
The Black Diary: M.I.B., Women in Black, Black-Eyed Children, and Dangerous Books is the occasion for a very good
Paracast outing. Nick can be amazingly matter-of-fact when discussing multidimensional, supernatural entities that may not be animated by our best interests. Particularly noteworthy was Nick's "take" on when a coincidence or synchronicity crosses over into the truly meaningful. Nick, Gene Steinberg, and co-host J. Randall Murphy ponder whether the larger paranormal phenomenon is capable of changing how it presents itself to a witness, or whether it is fiddling with the mind of the beholder her-or-himself. And to what end or purpose? A still-unsettled and fascinating part of Americana is the subject of Jim Harold's interview:
The Phoenix Lights Revisited with Dr. Lynne Kitei. Dr. Kitei weaves in some of her own separate personal experiences with the mass-witnessed events of March 13, 1997. She also summarizes new information tending to support the view many--not merely the spectators at the time--still hold that something more than National Guard practice flares was moving above Arizona on that evening. Not far inferior to the interest of just what was seen is the after story of the sighting's effects upon Arizona citizens, as Dr. Kitei mentions. (WM)
