Mysterious cat

So last night I saw something strange in the sky which I posted on r/UFO. Just after what I saw I was approached by a cat which disappeared in front of me. It’s not the first time I thought I saw a cat around me or by my feet that wasn’t actually there when I try to look at it.

I’ve experienced loads of weird stuff in the past but this is my latest encounter. And at this house it seems to be a cat.

Sometimes I’ll be outside having a smoke and a real cat will approach me. It’s black and has a bell on its collar. It seems scared to come close but will if I’m slow and put my hand out but it flees before I get to pet it.

Other times I’ll see a black cat watching me or walk/run by my feet (no bell sounds) but when I try to look at it, it’s gone. Just disappeared. I believe it’s a shadow creature. That’s what I saw again last night.

Also, I live with my sister, her husband and their child which is my nephew.

My sister said she sometimes thinks she sees a cat too. But when I was talking to her about this she said that my nephew (who is 3) said something really weird last night. He slept in their bed and in the middle of the night woke up asking “where has the cats gone?” And saying it’s usually on the bed at night. We don’t have a cat.

So I asked him a couple of questions today.

Me: what pets do we have?

Nephew: two doggies

Me: do we have a cat?

Nephew: nope

Me: do you like cats?

Nephew: no, it scratches at my knees at night

Me: so you see a cat in the house?

Nephew: yea

And then he didn’t want to talk about it anymore and went off to play.

I’ve read a lot about cats and how they can be related to UFO sightings. Which I don’t think is the case here anymore. The sightings of a cat have been going on for a while so I’m not sure what’s going on.

Anyone know of anything similar? Or what I can do?

TL;DR

Keep seeing shadow cat. It could be harassing my scared nephew.
