I was asked to post some more of my families experiences, I dont want to flood the sub or anything but if people want to hear more just lmk!
Just to put this out there, my grandpa is a "no bullshit" type of guy to the bone. Total meat and potato, no mumbo jumbo gossip entertainer so when he first told me this story I almost couldn't believe it was coming out of his mouth.
When he was a young boy (about 10 or 11) him and his friends would go looking for agates or other cool rocks around town, but they always found the best ones at the train station. They often had big train cars full of gravel sitting around waiting to be transported, and being the little shits that young boys can be were always climbing on top and digging around. One day they were on top showing each other their finds when the train worker came buy and opened the shoot below the cart, sucking my grandpa and his friends in like quick sand. They screamed and the man below realized what was happening and went to the shoot to try and catch them, he did end up grabbing the other boy but not my grandpa. He said he almost had one leg out but it all happened too fast and he was sucked in.
He he opened his eyes to darkness, but he wasn't at all afraid. He told me he felt safe and peaceful. "Its just like they say" were his exact words. He turned around and saw a light, and for whatever reason he started walking towards it. He was scared, his body moved like it knew what it was supposed to do. He said the light would get bigger, and brighter with every step he took. Out of the edges of the dark 6 women, three of each side came to him and told him to turn around. "Its not your time Jerry! You need to go home. Turn around Jerry!" But he kept walking as if his body couldn't stop. He was confused. He wanted to go to the light, he was drawn to it. Finally he stopped and looked at them and they all said one more time "You aren't ready" and with that he turned his shoulders to leave.
He instantly gasped and opened his eyes to see his friend and the train worker standing above him. "JESUS CHRIST JERRY ARE YOU OKAY?" "HEY KID ARE YOU OKAY, STAY SEATED PEOPLE ARE COMING!" Their voices filled his ears with worry and panic. Come to find out my grandpa had been unresponsive and not breathing when they finally pulled him out of the rubble. They man did CPR on him until he came to.
My grandpa is now 73 years old, but his life could have come to an end much sooner. Like I said before, my grandfather has never been one to bullshit. Nor is he a super religious person, but I can promise you he will never forget the moment he met his Guardian Angel's.
