Man is black

I was about 3 or 4 so I don't remember it to well. This is coming from what my mom has told me about it. The neighborhood I lived in always had paranormal stuff happening. I know my neighbors would say that they would see things or feel things touching them. Anyway I was at home with my mom and we were watching TV. I guess I turned around at one point because I told my mom that 'there's a man by the refrigerator I think he wants water' (that's what she said I said) and she was so terrified that she didn't turn around. She just had me stick to her side and waited until my dad got home. There were no signs of a break in and everything seemed fine. I was asked to describe him and I guess I said he was in all black. I've seen figures out of the corner of my eye but when I turn to look they're gone. I don't know of it's something following me or if it was just where I lived
