Loch Ness Monster Filmed from Air? - Loch Ness Mystery

As a lifelong Nessie nerd, I became particularly excited to hear about this report from 1981, then just a little despondent that there was no trace of the footage to be found anywhere. But such is the life of a monster lover and the story is still fascinating. A Follow up to the Aircraft Monster Film seems to indicate that even the Royal Family can't escape Nessie's allure, and includes somewhat different details than the original story. (Still no footage to be found.) This next piece , while rather curmudgeon-ish, explains Why Nessie will endure, however often we prove she's not there. Joe Bennett claims we prefer "pretty stories" (Nessie thanks you!) over "dreary truth." (Have you read the news lately?) Backing up Joe's theory, Arthur Grant gets his own Plaque. There is a movement to have commemorative plaques placed around Loch Ness depicting reports of its illustrious--if alleged--inhabitant. We say bring on a bicycle tour! But let's not forget Scotland isn't the only monstrously weird spot on Earth. Nick Redfern is Profiling Sweden’s Very Own Nessie/, where reports seem somewhat more detailed than those form Loch Ness, describing something more aquatic than prehistoric. And still no footage. Joe Bennett might be on to something... (CM)
