This happen back when my dad was diagnosed with stroke 4 years ago. It effect half of my dad's body, paralyzed. After he was released from the hospital, he was sent home and I was the one taking care of him for the first month before I got into college. My dad's condition wasn't that bad, he still could move but his vision was really bad.
One day, he called me to the living room, he was watching television and asking me for the TV controller. Then what shocked me is the question that he asked me next.
"Who is that kid behind you?"
I was stunned with that question and got scared. Then I unwittingly shout to my dad, angrily, "Pa, there's no one here!". But then he keep staring my back without saying anything for a few seconds until I stopped him. I told him not to look at the kid and continue watch the television. We argued for a while as he insisted that the kid was still there. I was really scared and decided to stay with my dad, watching television until my mom back from work. I mean there's no way I'm going back to my room alone.
My mom told me that it's not the first time that my dad telling that. She told me every night when she was taking care of my dad at hospital, he always wake her up at the middle of the night saying there's a kid waking him up, making loud noise, and all. When I told my grandmother what happened, she told me that evil spirit tend to disturb the sicks since they really have weak mentality and body. She insist that what my dad saw is really something not from this world.
When the doctor told us that the stroke made my dad's brain to develop weird vision and sleep paralysis, I was a little bit relieved but my dad said that he know what he saw.
