I think I have a ghost. No, I know I have a ghost.

Okay, I have experienced ghosts pretty much my entire life. Whether I’m haunted or every house I’ve lived in has been haunted, I dont know.

I can talk all about my experiences in a separate post. This one is about my current house. I just posted a video of my cat in r/ghosts of my cat reacting to something in my bedroom from the living room. I thought it was the fan at first but we have had that fan for years and she has never been afraid of it.

Let’s start from the beginning. The very first day we moved in, My husband went to work and I stayed home to unpack. We have a guest room right next to our room. Within an hour my cat started growling at the room and my dog was growling and barking. I grabbed a pair of scissors and threw the door open expecting to see someone in there but it was empty. My mom always said when things like that happen I need to say “In the name of Jesus Christ you are not welcome here and you need to leave.” That was the first time I ever said that. Ghosts haven’t been a big problem for me growing up so I could ignore most of it. But we just moved in so I didn’t want that to happen at all.

I guess that made things worse. I have an intense fear of windows at night. I dont know why but I always have so I had to buy curtains for our front door, back door and kitchen window and rooms. The first incident happened at night. I was checking facebook and looked up for a moment. It looked like someone was standing outside my house. I went back to twitter deciding it was probably a tree. When I was ready to go to bed I sat up and saw a black shadow at the foot of my bed that slowly disappeared. After that it was normal creaks and footsteps and things disappearing.

I need to mention that for a few months our cat has refused to sleep in our room at night. She will always sleep in the guest room as if it is her own bedroom.

A week ago my friend came over and brought her dog. She had her dog on her lap and almost instantly her dog looked at the corner of my living room and started growling. Since then I have been super uncomfortable. That same night I put my phone on my end table, my side of the bed is right next to the bedroom door. I caught a glimpse of what looked like the bottom of a white dress passing by. I jumped and slept under the covers that night.

I call my grandma weekly since my mom died in december. While I was on the phone with her talking about my mom I saw what looked like a shadow figure pass by our guest room (which used to be hers). The animals stayed away all day.

The weirdest one to me happened awhile ago. I’m a night owl so Im always up until morning. I was watching TV, just normal reruns. I was laying down on the couch which sat below our window until we rearranged. I sat up and instantly felt dread and panic and fear and thought I was in danger. I jumped off the couch and turned around. I had sat up and was right in front of an open space in the curtains where anyone could look inside the house. As I said, I have an irrational fear of windows at night. No one could explain why that scared me so much because I had no idea until I turned around.

That brings us to todays incident. In between has been small stuff as I said before. I have posted the video of my cat on r/ghosts (I hope, I haven’t checked to see if its finished uploading yet). What happened was I fed her dinner and she jumped off the desk where she eats. She looked at the bedroom and jumped as if something terrified her. She kept watching the bedroom and carefully walked under out entertainment center, over to the bedroom. I tried to blame our fan but she has never ever been afraid of it before. I followed her with my camera, switching between my bedroom door and her, and she still carefully walked into the room and is under the bed. My dog is acting like things are normal. But she’s been with me for 8 years so maybe she’s just used to it?

Tl;DR: I’ve lived in a house for six months. Weird stuff is happening and my cat is scared out of her mind. Nothing new for me except the animals part.
