I once heard my dead great grandfather speak to me

I remember meeting my great grandfather when I was very young (probably around 4).

My only memories of him are of him collecting model cars and how he was always giving me and my cousins gum and Yoo-hoo (the drink). He also liked to yell across the lawn to us and wave saying “Yoo-hoo!” Like he was saying hello.

He died in my mother’s house in her old bedroom. He died naturally in his sleep.

Years later after his passing, I was with my mom and a family friend outside when I decided I wanted to go inside to put on flip flops. My flip flops were in my moms old bedroom.

I went inside and down the hall to the bedroom where I saw my flip flops. I sat on the bed and began to take off my sneakers and socks, when suddenly it felt really quiet in the room.

I suddenly felt a presence near the right side of my body and I heard a mans voice in my right ear say, “Yoo-hoo!”

But it was more drawn out and sing song like. If I had to write it down it would look like “yooooo hoooooo!”

I bolted from the bedroom. I was feeling like I was running away from a person and the further I got, the safer I was.

I got outside and told my mom and family friend, they tried to rationalize it, but we all knew he passed in there. My mom told me if it was him, he was just saying hi and he wasn’t mean, there was nothing to be afraid of.

When I look back on this I can see why I was afraid, but if it were to happen now, I might stop and listen longer.

This was one of my paranormal experiences, I’d like to hear some of yours in the comments! I’d also like to know what you think about my experience and your theories.

TL:DR; I heard my great grandfather talk to me in my moms old bedroom where he died. I was scared but my mom said he was just saying hello.
