So, if i start yet another paranormal investigation show, What are some of the things you want to see that would convince you the results are real and not faked by production, over acting, covered results by unneeded spooky music?
For example, i really liked how Ghost Hunters tried to debunk claims or experiences where other shows tend to claim every SINGLE sound and noise HAS to be the ghost they're investigating.
I dislike Ghost Adventures' use of the EVP recorder and horrible playback with the garbled sound the viewer cant hear and them claiming they hear a voice that said something. We need to HEAR the audio, do this in post like GH used to do.
Most times when they use that so called ghost box that says stuff they often talk over whats being said, or react so loud and so long theyre contaminating any other evidence they may be getting.
What im after, is NOT comments about how a network has to fit all of the show in 43 minutes, and that they use music to entertain the view for raitings. But WHAT should we do, to better serve those who really want to see real evidence and be able to determine for themselves what is paranormal and what was just a cameraman dropping his phone or whispering to the boom mic guy, or plain out faked info.
I plan on filming but releasing to youtube for free and then just possibly setting up a patreon or paypal for those who want to help out funds for equipment or just throw us 99 cents like i see on youtube live streams.
Were not in it for the money, and mostly just want to provide a skeptics view of investigating where we dont HAVE to embellish our results for the need of ratings for whatever network, while allowing the viewer to be able to examine results for themselves and not think everythings done for ratings or entertainment.
