Gene Steinberg and J. Randall Murphy confab with many-sided occult author Allen Greenfield on a wide variety of subjects, seasoned with reminiscences of the "good old days" shared by long-time friends Greenfield and Steinberg. Greenfield defines his particular Jewish beliefs, declares the importance of researchers listing their sources, and clarifies his use of the term "numinous." Greenfield also argues against Murphy's notion that one has to understand fully an unusual phenomenon to enjoy it, and bemoans his perception that spiritless technology has become a religion or "opiate" to many people. Toward the podcast's end, the three conversants consider tricksterish cases of "missing" items later turning up, people who apparently have somehow unwillingly strayed from a different reality into ours, and others who just vanish into thin air.
