A strange dream my mother had.

When my mother recently told me of a very strange dream she had, I was astonished, for its motives were not only apocalyptic but similar to the theories propagnated on the website Metatech.org.

My mother recalls being in some sort of mansion or luxury house, together with some other people, located amidst a Central German landscape and above a city. She knows that an army of big-mouthed, black-eyed monsters with sharp teeth, metallic skin and doglike stature is coming from across the river and that neither she should see them nor should they see her. She and her friends begin draping the windows of the first floor wih black paper. She suddenly realizes that she made some sort of mistake (maybe obfuscated the wrong floor or something) and needs to flee - having learned of the mansion as a safe place, hundreds of city residents are now approaching it.

My mother flees, together with several other persons, downwards, towards a hotel located where the river meets a sharp incline/cliff. The hotel guests seem to be not knowing of the impending catastrophe. My mother and her party gather food (nuts, dried fruit, water0 for three days from the hotel kitchen and then retreat to a catacomb-like complex of bunkers/wineries/underground storage spaces; the dream ends here.

Note that my mother does not, at any point, encounter said monsters but instead knows how they look throughout the dream.

I am unmerved by my mother’s experience, for both I and she had had prophetic dreams several times during our lives and some aspects of what she described are portrayed in various apocalyptic conspiracy theories, namely:

  • An army of monsters/devils ravaging the Earth for three days (“Three Days of Darkness”)
  • draping windows with black paper to prevent visual contact
  • “impending apocalypse”, public disorder
  • gathering long-lasting food for several days
  • hiding underground

My mother is not, by any means, a conspiracy-minded person. She never read a conspiracy site in her life before I showed to her Metatech.org - we both agree that the content of said site is largely nonsense, but she was astonished by the large amount of “coincidences” and similarities with her dream.

What do you think?
