So, two weeks ago, with my dad, we went to explore a german bunker in Normandy.
My father and I parked the car outside the site and walked toward it. There were huge holes because of the Ally's bombs.
We went inside, there was water in the bunker but we had boots so we didn't care.
Inside, there were some graffiti (old and new), the rooms were empty and it was getting darker and cold as we went further.
Suddenly, we heard the water moving, as if someone was walking in ig. We shrugged it off, maybe it was another person who was exploring it like us.
There was this room, the last and largest one, in the end of the bunker, where it was very cold and dark, even with the flashlights we couldn' see anything. So we went inside this room and the water was muddier and it smelled very bad, there were graffiti in german again.
We looked around and then we heard "BANG BANG BANG", As if someone was knocking on a bunker door or a metal door. I got scared and I told my dad that we should go, maybe we didn't have the right to go in there, maybe it was someone's property. My dad told me "don't worry, it's just our imagination".
So we exited the room and my flashlight decided to give up. I could have used the flashlight of my phone but I didn't want to drop it in the water so I stayed close to my father and it's when I saw a door wich was opened. It is frequent in abbandoned bunkers that some rooms are closed because of some reasons, mainly because of danger. My dad asked me if I wanted to see the room and I told him no because it was weird that the door was opened and I was (still am) sure it was closed before. Father's answers: "maybe the wind".
My dad went inside and I followed him (I didn't want to stay outside with no flashlight). We were inside the room and the door started to close, slowly with this weird grinding noise. We hurried to exit the room and I told my dad that we REALLY should go because it was very scary and weird that the door was closing by itself.
He admitted it was weird and he saw I was really freaking out so we headed outside. It was when we saw someone walking around a corner. My dad (being the friendly man he is) greeted him. The person didn't say anything or didn't turn around to see who was talking to him/her.
And I don't know why he did that but my father started to follow the person. I went outside and sat on a rock, waiting for him. My dad came back, minutes after and he was pale. So I jokingly asked "did you see a ghost?" And my dad answered that he followed the person and this person disappeared inside the room with the door who was closing by itself and when my dad went inside, he saw no signs of the person and the door started to close, like earlier.
So maybe it was just our imagination, for the door maybe it was the wind or some other things. Maybe the banging was something from our imagination like the person was just a shadow or a thing made up by our brain because I was scared and my dad was I guess.
