Gene Steinberg and guest host Michael Allen cover a variety of topics with MJ Banias, including his
Terra Obscura blog, his contribution to the Robbie Graham compilation
UFOs: Reframing the Debate, and an upcoming book. Much of the initial discourse concerns the problems of the Mutual UFO Network, and the point is, and should be, made that MUFON contains literally hundreds of good people who have a serious interest in the UFO subject--folks who lack good structural alternatives for that study. The discourse moves to theological implications in ufology, and a section on the Flatwoods Monster that is especially interesting. The almost cult-like popularity of some individuals in the field, held to be scam artists by more scientific minds, is also examined. So are some implications of the AATIP and the human contemplation of other, possibly (and hopefully?) more advanced, intelligences in the universe. (WM)
