Over the course of about six hours it felt like I was being held down in bed, with hands holding both my legs and my arms, and there were other hands that were poking and prodding me, which felt really uncomfortable. At first I kept trying to fight it, and I'd pull my arms or legs free and wake up--but I could still feel a shiver on my skin. Then I'd drift back to sleep and the hands would come back to hold down my legs and arms and the prodding would intensify. Eventually I just stopped trying to fight it because I needed sleep but it really didn't feel like sleep. I was always aware of lying in bed but it just went on and on. Made me wonder if when people talk about being probed by aliens if this kind of experience is what they're talking about.
I've had sleep paralysis before, but my previous experiences were like a foreign EM field was trying to interfere with my brain's EM field. Like, one time I was at this motel up in Maine called the Majestic Regency and all night I could sense this dark figure hovering over me and my brain was vibrating like it was trying to possess me or something. During that experience, I kept waking up but when I fell back asleep the sleep paralysis would start again. I eventually decided I was just feeling the transition into sleep and stopped fighting it. But the next morning, I googled "Majestic Regency haunted" and someone else had mentioned that the specific room I was in was haunted on yelp. I felt like the ghost followed me back home, and that led to the strangest experience of my whole life, which I won't get into here.
But with my experience last night, I didn't feel any interference with my brain's EM field. It was purely physical sensations. Very strange! Anyone else have an experience like that?
