Huge 'Pterosaur' Observed at the Vermilion River in Danville, Illinois

I recently received a telephone call from an eyewitness ('DF') who was referred to me by an associate.

In the spring of 2013, DF was on his property at the end of Ave. F near the Vermilion River in Danville, Illinois. It was around 4pm on a warm sunny afternoon. The property extended back to the edge of the river. DF was busy clearing brush and trees on the bluff overlooking the river. Many times he would ride his ATV to the location, then sit and watch a variety of wildlife along a game trail. There was also a dock on the property.

On this particular day, DF was taking a break from his work. After a while, he noticed that the regular sound of birds had suddenly stopped and it became usually quiet. DF said that he has always been very quick to pick-up on movement, since he has ridden a motorcycle everywhere he went, and needed to be aware of his surroundings.

As he stood on the bluff looking out onto the river, he noticed a large shadowy figure gliding downstream towards him. As it got closer, the bizarre creature became more defined. He observed, what he described, a 'pterodactyl' gliding about 4-5 feet above the surface of the river. DF estimated that the wingspan was approximately 25 feet, as it covered half the width of the river. The huge flying being looked exactly like the images of the prehistoric flying dinosaur. Long beak with a long ray on the head. Dark gray leathery-skinned body and wings, with a long tail that flattened on the end. It made little sound, but cast a shadow on the river as it flew just below the height of the bluff. The water swirled as it glided past. The beast continued gliding downstream until DF lost sight of it. He stated that it never flapped its wings. DF's first reaction was to get back to his house and tell his wife what he had seen.

Over the years, he mentioned the sighting to a few close friends, but it never went beyond that. He moved from the location about a year later.

NOTE: I was impressed by DF's demeanor and description. He stated that he has never witnessed anything unusual before or since that day. Historically, much of Illinois is known for flying cryptids sightings.WHile investigating the Chicago winged humanoid reports, our team also received a variety of flying cryptids sightings as well...including pterosaurs and large-winged birds. 'Glimmering Man' Along the Highway

I am 40 years old and my name is Daniel Velazquez. I am construction worker in Seattle, Washington. This is the first time that I have contacted your show. I had to respond to the 'Glimmering Man' episode. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to tune in to this week's show. I want to share with you my own experience with the "Predator" or as y'all have named it the "Glimmering Man". Until now, I thought that maybe I was going crazy. This is the first and only experience that I have ever had with anything paranormal or other wordly. It was a very brief encounter but I know what I saw and this has made me question everything that I know. I am a Christian and that has been my upbringing. Okay, let me explain what happened.

This was in late August this year 2018. I was riding in the passenger seat in our work truck with my boss driving and another worker sitting in the back. We were on our way to a job site in Seattle and we were exiting the I-5 freeway which is the main interstate between Canada down to Mexico. As we were exiting the freeway, I was just sitting back in my seat and as I looked to the right I seen this "Predator" figure moving to it's right. I jumped up in my seat and said to my boss "Oh my God do you see that? Look"! I was absolutely stunned! There was a little outcropping of trees and beyond that there were 3-4 homeless people just going about their business. They seemed to be clueless about the "figure" that was walking about 20 yards in front of them. I was absolutely shocked and did not know what to say or do. I only saw the figure for about 4 or 5 seconds and when I turned to my boss to ask if he is seeing this and then turned back to where I saw the figure, it was gone or I lost sight of it. It was exactly like the "predator" figure in the movie..not the alien form but the cloaked version. In my 40 years I have never seen anything like that! My wife is the only person that I have told because I don't want people to think that I am crazy. So I was so glad to hear your show about the "Glimmering Man".

You mentioned that you had 15-20 other people or stories about the same thing. Please do a follow-up on this story! It is somewhat comforting to know that there have been other sightings and that I am not crazy. Also, have there been any similar sightings in the Seattle or Washington State area? Captured WWII German Scientists Secretly Studied Crashed Roswell UFO - UFO Explorations

Whatever happened in the early summer of 1947 near Roswell, New Mexico, the story never seems to die and always seems to sprout new shoots. Anthony Bragalia tries to tie some interesting careers and cryptic statements into a persuasive argument that "Operation Paperclip" members studied the Roswell crash. Kevin mentions Bragalia's article in his own Roswell and Wernher von Braun, adding a stray bit of information, but (so far) Kevin has not responded to a Comment asking for his "different perspective" on Bragalia's effort. It might be worth watching Kevin's post for an answer. Kevin has noted the publishing of James Carrion's The Roswell Deception. Not only that, but provided the link to downloading this tome for free. Carrion is the former International Director of the Mutual UFO Network, and since that position he has spent considerable time writing revisionist narratives regarding government involvement in UFO research. Kevin properly reserves judgment on The Roswell Deception until he has read the book. From Homo Floresiensis to the Orang-Pendek - Mysterious Universe

Nick Redfern turns over the reins in this report to fellow "crypto seeker" and former head keeper from England's Twycross Zoo, Richard Freeman. Freeman explains the clear differences between the long sought after Orang Pendek and Homo Floresiensis. He believes they are entirely diifferent species,Â and that past theories connecting Homo Erectus and the Orang Pendek are incorrect. Moreover, Freeman suspects Homo Floriensis is an offshoot of Australopithicus. We juxtapose this intense investigative research against Bigfoot and Controversial Hoaxing. Redfern takes us back to the late 1950s when a hoaxer named Ray Wallace staged a series of incidents which included planting enormous footprints around a work site, giving rise to the media sensation of "Bigfoot." In 2002, just prior to passing away, Wallace admitted the whole thing was faked. The media then inferred that because the notion of Bigfoot was birthed within a hoax, then the Hairy Man himself must also be a hoax. This unfortunate turn of events, coupled with faulty logic, turned public opinion against serious Sasquatch investigation, something which continues to this day. (CM)

Alien Skull Found in China? - Coast to Coast AM

Time for another entry in the "alien skull" category. Tim Binnall relates, with proper caution, the claim and story of a Chinese novelist. Tim notes in particular that Li Jianmin bases his conclusion partly by comparing the thing to "alien skulls discovered in other countries." The find has not escaped the attention of Paul Seaburn, whose UFO Hunter Unveils the "Skull of an Extraterrestrial" raises more "red flags" and waxes poetic. That last is likely because one proposed alternative identification for the remains was a "sea monk monster," a fabled beast memorialized in a French poem. That Seaburn does his homework! Jason Colavito questions the kind of preparation one of the leading Ancient Alienists does in David Childress: Aliens Living in the Hollow Moon Created Bigfoot to Serve as Missing Link Between Humans and Apes. Childress fans might find the referenced 21-minute interview worthwhile; Jason and the Inverse article containing the dialogue summarize some of the points. (WM)

Here's a report on a fresh approach to an old subject. Dan Fox looks intoÂ experiments in remote viewing currently being conducted at Brooklyn's Triangle Arts Centre. Part group therapy session, part acting class, we're fairly certain it wasn't this interesting when the CIA was trying it. If psychic travel doesn't hold your interest, perhaps this next topic will. Synesthesia and Other Experiences is being studied by the Parapsychology Foundation via results from an online survey. Findings indicate positive correlations between experiences of synesthesia and unusual or exceptional experiences. In other words, those who experience PSI phenomena most likely, at least occasionally, interpret their sensory stimuli a little differently from everyone else. More on this, please. (CM)
