Dark Humanoid in the Desert
I recently received the following account:
Back in the spring of 2016, a few of my friends were talking about their experience with some weird creature, in the desert southeast of Tucson near Vail, Arizona. The descriptions sounded a lot like Mothman, though this creature had no wings. I was skeptical, but I didn’t want to doubt my friends because whatever this was had really scared them. They said that they believed it was some kind of alien being.
Later on that year, in the winter, these sightings were far from my mind. I was visiting a friend who lived in Vail. I stayed over late that evening. At about 2 AM I left their house to drive about 25 minutes down I-10 towards home. Driving about 50 mph, when approaching a rise in the road, I saw a silhouette. Before I even processed that I was observing something I soon realized that I had slowed and eventually stopped on the shoulder to get a better view.
It was about 20 yards or so away, standing almost in the middle of the road. Because of the rise in the road I could only see this form from the hips up. It was very tall and looked human-like. Very skinny, with long thin arms and skin that was dark, leathery and dry; though there was a 'sheen' to the body. The eyes were a reflective red color. I couldn’t tell if it was looking at me or not. There wasn’t another car in sight at the time.
I'm usually very calm during emergency situations. I’m very interested in unexplained phenomena, but confronting this thing, the panic switch flipped. My mind is telling me to hit the gas, but I just sit there, staring at this thing. I looked down for a second, considering turning around and driving back to my friend’s house. I put the car in first gear, looked back up and the being was gone. I immediately drove towards my house. I was shivering uncontrollably the whole way home. I pulled into the driveway, walked in the kitchen door, and became violently ill. I literally passed out in my bathroom.
I didn't wake until about 1 PM that day. I dragged myself off the bathroom floor and immediately went to bed. I was totally exhausted and just wanted to sleep. I rarely left the bedroom for the next 5 days. I had no appetite and it seemed like every bone on my body ached. One of my friends eventually came over and helped me into the living room. I ate a little bit, but I was still very tired and despondent. I didn't tell her or anyone else what I had encountered. I just said that I had the flu.
Do you have any idea of what I observed out in the desert? Have you heard of similar creatures? ML
NOTE: I contacted 'ML' by email. Hopefully I can talk to her by phone at some point. She seems reluctant to discuss this event, and is somewhat fearful that this being may seek her out. The being didn't seem to be an apparition, and her description suggests that it was was an actual corporeal entity. Don Monroe Case Files: The Roper
Don was preparing for a trek out in the wilds when something odd happened to this researcher -
He left a bunch of 12-foot rope out on his vehicle to take with him on his trek. He lives in a very rugged and lonely place in the Northwestern US.
When he came out in the morning, he found the ropes neatly tied up -
This was very similar knotting he found in horse mane braids in over 20 years of studying them.
The story gets even weirder. Don goes out on his trek and comes back home and he keeps hearing something on the roof for a few nights.
He climbs the 16-foot ladder to the roof and finds the 8-foot ladder that goes to the very top is lying down. He picks it up, and climbs up.
In the crawlspace, he finds a flashlight with new batteries and it's covered in lots of dirt.
Someone/something has been staying up there. The same one who tied the ropes?

“I was born on the evening of June 24, 1975 in NYC, one month prematurely while my parents were there visiting my mother's family in various East Coast locations from our home in St Louis, MO. In 2015, a friend of mine took me to New Orleans for a few days prior to my birthday as a gift. We had a great time and had tickets to fly home in the early afternoon on my birthday.
The flight out of Louis Armstrong Airport was uneventful except for two things. The first was an older guy sitting beside us who kept looking our way. He had what I can only describe as a gentle smile on his face. I didn't feel creeped out so much, but it was just weird to have him spend so much time looking our way in silence. The next thing was when we started to descend for landing. The plane started to shake and jolt terribly. My buddy and I looked at each other with that 'Oh f--k' expression. I glanced past my friend and caught the eye of the man sitting across the aisle. He was looking straight at me, with that grin still on his face. He leaned out from his seat toward ours and said very calmly, in a firm tone, 'This one will land just fine', then turned his head and looked forward. That gentle smile never left his face. From there the ride got really rough, but the plane landed just fine. The pilot came on the intercom and quickly explained that it was some pretty bad wind-shear, gave us a weather update and thanked us for flying. Everyone on the plane was so stressed I swear I could smell the fear.
As we got our carry-ons out of the overheads I made a point to not even glance at that dude, but I could feel him looking at me. We got off and hustled our asses on out of there. Nobody was saying a word. We were all still freaking out. Here is where it gets creepy... last year I was reading about air disasters. That experience had stuck with me and I developed a bit of an obsession. One day I came across the story of Eastern Airlines Flight 66. The flight left New Orleans in the early afternoon on June 24, 1975 en route to JFK in NYC. The plane crashed on descent due to severe wind-shear, killing 113 people, just hours before I was born, 40 years to the day from my flight with the man and his gentle grin." - sprontos

Flight MH370 Remains Unexplained
A safety report into the disappearance of flight MH370 has concluded that the plane was manually turned around in mid-air, rather than being under the control of autopilot, and that “unlawful interference by a third party” could not be ruled out.
However, it dismissed theories that had suggested the pilot and first officer brought the plane down in a suicide mission, and also ruled out mechanical failure as a cause.
The long-awaited report – which was initially described as the “final report”, although investigators then backtracked from that description – left the hopes of the families dashed after it failed to provide any concrete conclusions about the reasons the plane disappeared nor any indication where the wreckage might be.
Speaking at a press conference in Putrajaya, Malaysia, Dr Kok Soo Chon, the investigator in charge of the MH370 safety investigation, did not assign blame for the incident but laid out several protocols that were broken by the air traffic control in Malaysia and Vietnam that ensured the plane went missing for 20 minutes before anyone was alerted. A Crashed "Saucer" and Dead Aliens (Photographed) in 1941 - UFO Conjectures
While mining Albert Rosales' Humanoid Encounters series, Rich Reynolds came upon the Cape Girardeau, Missouri, crash-body-retrieval case from 1941. The photo supposedly snapped at the scene and the identity of its photographer get considerable treatment in the Paul Blake Smith book about the crash, but Smith asserts that many pictures were taken at the site on the night of April 12, 1941. Could these images make of UFOs: A Psychotic but Bona Fide Reality? Rich here expounds upon an interesting "take" on an alternative view answering some problems with the extraterrestrial theory for UFOs. 1970s: The Decade Obsessed With Witches and Devils
In the 1970s, Hollywood's new rage was witch-themed and devil-themed movies. They did a horrid job of explaining witches and confusing them with devil worship and sacrifice, as well as possession. Somehow many of these movies came out making the public confused about pentacles and witches as some kind of devil worshippers. It would appear that this trend had a lot more to do with youth's disillusionment with religion, desire to enter into cults and alternative spiritual practices.
Let's take a look at some of these humdingers -
*Descriptions from IMDB.
Race With the Devil: (1975) Peter Fonda, Loretta Swit. Two couples vacationing together in an R.V. from Texas to Colorado are terrorized after they witness a murder during a Satanic ritual.
Season of the Witch (aka Hungry Wives): (1972) A bored, unhappy suburban housewife gets mixed up in witchcraft and murder. Directed by George Romero.
Mark of the Devil: (1970) Udo Kier is a witch hunter apprentice to Herbert Lom. He believes strongly in his mentor and the ways of the church but loses faith when he catches Lom strangling Reggie Nalder to death for calling him impotent. Kier begins to see for himself that the witch trials are nothing but a scam of the church to rob people of their land, money, and other personal belongings of value and seduce beautiful big breasted women. Eventually, the townspeople revolt, Herbert Lom escapes but poor Udo is captured by the towns people. This film contains very strong graphic torture including a women's tongue being ripped out of her head,nuns being raped(in the opening credits), and lots of beatings.
Satan's School For Girls: (1973) Pamela Franklin, Kate Jackson. A young woman investigating her sister's suicide at a private girls' school finds herself battling a satanic cult.
The Wicker Man: (1973) A police sergeant is sent to a Scottish island village in search of a missing girl whom the townsfolk claim never existed. Stranger still are the rites that take place there.
Crowhaven Farm: (1970) Hope Lange. A young couple inherits a farm. Hoping that the rural location might help to patch up their strained marriage, they move into it, only to be confronted by the supernatural forces that inhabit it.
The Omen: (1976) Gregory Peck. Mysterious deaths surround an American ambassador. Could the child that he is raising actually be the anti-christ? The devil's own son.
The Exorcist: (1973) Linda Blair. When a teenage girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her daughter.
Blood On Satan's Claw: (1971) Horror thriller set in 17th century England about the children of a village slowly converting into a coven of devil worshipers.
The Brotherhood of Satan: (1971) A family is trapped in a desert town by a cult of senior-citizens who recruit the town's children to worship Satan.
The Devil's Daughter: (1973) Shelley Winters. A young girl whose mother had sold her soul to Satan when she was born is told by Satan that she must marry a fellow demon.
The Possession of Joel Delaney: (1972) Shirley MacLaine, Perry King. A woman begins to suspect that her brother is possessed by a voodoo spirit.
To the Devil a Daughter: (1976) An American occult novelist battles to save the soul of a young girl from a group of Satanists, led by an excommunicated priest, who plan on using her as the representative of the Devil on Earth.
The Devil's Rain: (1975) Ernest Borgnine, Eddie Albert, Ida Lupina. A bunch of Satanists in the American rural landscape have terrible powers which enable them to melt their victims. However one of the children of an earlier victim vows to destroy them.
Cry of the Banshee: (1970) Vincent Price. In Elizabethan England, a wicked lord massacres nearly all the members of a coven of witches, earning the enmity of their leader, Oona. Oona calls up a magical servant, a "banshee", to destroy the lord's family. (The "banshee" of this tale bears no resemblance to the normal usage of the term!)
Night of the Witches: (1971) A lecherous thief posing as a preacher is wandering in northern coastal Mexico. After stealing a car and evading police, he stumbles on a small coven of mysterious witches living in a seaside mansion. The preacher attempts to extort money from the witches, not knowing how dangerous they really are.

Screaming 'Winged Being' Encountered in Southwest Ontario
I received the following email this morning (7/30/2018):
Sir - I heard you on 'Paranormal Horizon' radio last night, and tried to call-in but the show was ending. You were talking about inter-dimensional creatures. I believe I saw something that may fit that bill.
In July 2011 my wife and I were spending a weekend at a friend's cabin, about 15 kilometers north of Manitou Falls, Ontario, Canada. We were both sitting on the porch looking into the woods. There were two spotlights shining off the porch, so the woods and the open area in front of the cabin were well-lit. I had spent a lot of time in this general area as a boy, and I was aware of the wildlife that lived there.
It was close to midnight, as we sat and talked. It was a very mild still night, but for some reason the usual sounds of the woods were subdued. I wasn't alarmed, but it did seem strange. Sometimes when a Lynx hunts at night, things do quiet down; so I assumed that may be what was going on. I kept my eyes open just in case another predator was about. Eventually my wife wanted to go inside, so I obliged her and followed. I left the porch spotlights on. We went to bed around 1:30 AM and both of us quickly dozed off.
The next thing I remember is my wife shaking me, telling me to wake up. She said she had heard a 'scream' coming from the from of the cabin. She wasn't used to being in the outdoors, so I told her it was either an Owl or Lynx. She insisted that no animal could have made that terrible noise; that it sounded like a woman was in distress. I looked at my phone. It was 2:33 AM. I got out of bed and walked into the front living room. I looked out the window, but didn't see anything. She was right behind me. Then the scream pierced the night again. This time I definitely heard it, and it wasn't like anything I've ever heard before.
We stood by the cabin window and watched the woods. About 10 minutes later, we heard something on top of the cabin porch roof. It sounded like it was jumping up and down. It was so loud and forceful, I thought it may go through the porch roof. We continued to watch, when all of a sudden this huge winged creature jettisoned from above towards the woods. It was massive and dark in color. The wings were fully open and not moving; like it was gliding towards the trees. We caught a decent look of this creature as it sailed upwards into the dark sky, then descended back towards the edge of the woods. It performed this maneuver two more times, until it came streaming, and screaming, towards the open ground in front of the cabin; and then vanished! The wings had been tight against the body and it looked like a dark missile about to slam into the clearing, but disappeared before it hit the ground!
We both jumped and let out a huge gasp. It was the most shocking experience I had ever had. My wife was wide-eyed and had to sit down. What in the world was that thing?
I have tried to comprehend what we witnessed that night, and I still have no idea as to what it was. It had arms and legs like a human, but the body was scrawny and flexible. It's hard to describe. The head was barely visible. Overall, I'd guess it was 4 feet or so in height and the wide billowy wings spread out to at least 15 feet when fully extended. The scream was the most memorable part of this experience. It really did sound like a frightened woman, but the decibel level made our ears uncomfortable.
A few days later, I asked my friend if he had ever seen anything unusual at the cabin. The most exciting event he could recall was a Badger getting into the kitchen one night. That was the extent of it. I decided not to go into details with him, but did say that my wife and I had an eerie night and that we didn't get much sleep because of strange noises coming from the woods. He just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing.
Do you believe that this flying creature actually disappeared into another reality, as you mentioned in the show? I appreciate your thoughts. JK
NOTE: I talked to 'JK' by telephone. He currently lives in North Dakota. His encounter left a lot of questions, of which he has few answers. He was positive that this was a corporeal creature and that both he and his wife were not hallucinating. Could it have been a winged humanoid or unknown flying cryptid. By the description, it seems very possible. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if any further reports come from the general area. Lon
